onside law had a busy summer advising on various sponsorship deals including Wrigley's Airwaves and their deal with World Rally and Texaco's sponsorship of The Championship. In football, onside law kicked off the summer transfer window by assisting in Zoltan Gera's move from West Bromwich Albion to Fulham.
 
 
 
onside law advises ECB on landmark deal

We have advised the England and Wales Cricket Board ("ECB") on its historic deal with the American billionaire, Sir Allen Stanford, and the West Indies Cricket Board.  The deal was announced on 11 June amidst huge public interest in a spectacular launch at Lord's attended by legends of the game including Sir Vivian Richards and Sir Ian Botham.  Under the deal, Stanford has pledged US$100 million in prize money for five annual "Winner Takes All" Twenty20 matches in Antigua between England and a Stanford West Indies XI, with the first match scheduled to take place on 1 November 2008. onside law advises on landmark Maria Sharaphova deal

onside law has assisted Sony Ericsson on its landmark off-court sponsorship contract with female tennis star, Maria Sharapova, announced at the Australian Open. Sharapova will become the company's first global brand ambassador and involves a series of innovative new consumer brand campaigns away from the court.
