onside law are pleased to announce that Adam Leadercramer has been appointed a Partner of the firm, with effect from 1 April 2013. Adam joined onside law from Allen & Overy in 2010 and he advises clients on a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters with a particular focus on the fields of technology and digital media.

onside law client, Alan Pardew has renewed his management contract at Newcastle

Onside law has advised Alan Pardew on his well publicised eight year renewal as manager of Newcastle United. Described as an “extraordinary” deal in the press, the contract is believed to represent one of the longest manager’s contracts in Premier League history.

onside law advises on Kaneria and Westfield cricket corruption cases

Onside Law, led by partner Chris Walsh and supported by trainee Sophie Thompson, recently advised the ECB on its succesful prosecutions, under the ECB’s anti-corruption regulations, of former Pakistan international Danish Kaneria and his former Essex CCC colleague Mervyn Westfield.

Following a contested 5 day hearing before an independent Disciplinary Panel chaired by Gerard Elias QC, both players were handed bans from all cricket under the ECB’s jurisdiction, and in Kaneria’s case a life ban.
