Alex’s practice includes advising on high-profile contractual matters involving key stakeholders in sport (including players, athletes and coaches) and the employment aspects of corporate/commercial deals. He also regularly advises on contentious employment issues, including complex terminations and settlements, and he has successfully defended employment tribunal claims relating to discrimination, harassment and unfair dismissal.

Aside from employment work, Alex also advises on general commercial matters and is part of the firm’s team that advises on player transfers in football.

Prior to joining Onside Law, Alex was part of PwC’s employment law practice, providing in-house support and advising the firm’s external clients.

A Blackburn Rovers fan ever since their Premier League title win in 1994/95, Alex is living proof of the dangers of “glory hunting”.
