Ben has advised on various high profile deals in the sport industry. Recently, Ben advised the ECB on the sale of stakes in The Hundred teamcos, Two Circles on its sale to Charterhouse Capital Partners, Jeremy Dale on structuring an acquisition of Birmingham City, Marc Boyan on his investment in Charlton Athletic, Mark Arena on the acquisition of the Perth Wildcats, Altor Capital on the acquisition of the Tasmania JackJumpers, Y11 Sport & Media on the acquisition of a number of endurance events and E1 Powerboats on the establishment of its championship and celebrity-backed teamcos. He also closed funding rounds for Sportable, InCrowd and Ellipse Data. Ben has advised high-profile athletes such as Matt Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood and Luka Dončić on equity investments.

Ben joined Onside Law in 2020 and the partnership in 2021.

Ben has prior experience working on a wide range of UK and cross-border corporate transactions, including private equity investments, private M&A, public takeovers, fundraisings, joint ventures, reorganisations and restructurings.

Away from his desk, Ben spends most of his time running after three kids. He is a minimalist golfer.
