Tom is an Associate specialising in data protection and technology law.
Tom is genuinely passionate about data protection, and it is the heart of his practice. He drafts and negotiates data processing, data sharing and joint controller agreements. He advises on DPIAs, LIAs, TRAs, DSARs, PECR and any other DP related initialisms you can come up with. He is particularly interested in the data issues unique to sport, including athlete data, fan engagement, and doping/integrity operations.
Tom also has a deep technical understanding of how technology works, which lets him give practical advice on how data actually flows through systems, platforms and products. He applies this to technology transactions, including software development, SaaS, data and platform licensing, and outsourcing. He acts for both customers and suppliers.
