Wil is an associate specialising in commercial work for clients in the sports sector. Before joining Onside Law in September 2024, Wil trained at Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF) and qualified into NRF’s Commercial, Tech & Outsourcing team (also working closely with their sports practice group). Since joining Onside Law, he has also spent time on secondment at a major sports governing body.

Wil advises on a wide range of commercial contracts for stakeholders across the sports and media industries, including international federations, governing bodies, clubs, event organisers and agencies. He has experience advising on a range of commercial contracts, including sponsorship / partnership agreements, venue / staging agreements, media distribution and production agreements, contracts relating to pre-season tours for clubs, franchise agreements, product / merchandise licensing agreements, service and supply contracts, outsourcing agreements and tech procurement contracts.

Away from his desk, Wil can usually be found doing anything related to football, whether that be playing, watching or reminding (/boring) everyone that his hometown club, Manchester United, is still the ‘greatest’ club in the world, how Roy Keane and Paul Scholes formed the ‘greatest’ midfield in the history of football and how Park Ji Sung is the ‘greatest’ Korean footballer of all time.
